Privacy Policy

TrendTik ("TrendTik", "we", "us", or "our") operates trendtik.com and the related dashboard, tools, and APIs (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile details you provide (e.g. display name). Authentication is handled by Supabase.

Content you submit. TikTok video URLs, comments, and transcripts you submit for analysis, along with the AI-generated reports produced from them.

Usage data. Feature usage (video analyses, comment analyses, transcripts run), quota/credit consumption, subscription and plan status, and basic device/browser information.

Communications. Messages you send us via the contact form or support email, and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including running AI analyses you request
• To manage your account, subscription plan, and feature quotas/credits
• To respond to support requests and send service-related notices
• To send the weekly newsletter, if you opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
• To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, and to detect abuse or fraud
• To understand aggregate usage trends via analytics

3. AI processing

Video and comment analysis is performed using Google Gemini models. The TikTok content you submit (links, transcripts, comments) is sent to Google's API for processing and is subject to Google's API terms and data-handling practices. We do not use your submitted content to train our own models.

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Where enabled, we may also use analytics and advertising technologies such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar to understand how visitors use the Service and to measure marketing performance. These tools may set their own cookies and collect information such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Service works.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Google Gemini API — AI analysis of content you submit
• Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure
• Analytics/advertising providers listed in section 4, where enabled
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of TrendTik or our users

6. Data retention

We keep account data and analysis history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records (e.g. billing records) for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your account information from your profile page, or by emailing us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International data transfers

Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Google, Vercel) may process and store data in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in such locations.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
